This two hand control works with a limit switch for the ram home position and a proximity switch that energizes when the ram is within 5 mm of the workpiece. At 5 mm distance from the workpiece, the gap is considered too small to constitute a pinch point. When the ram is at the ram home position, the operator requires two hands to advance the ram until the proximity switch makes contact with the workpiece. At that point, the stroke return lever prevents the ram from returning to the home position and the operator can advance the stroke with the stroke lever while rotating the part with his other hand to measure the part runout. After the part is straightened to the required TIR, the operator releases the stroke return lever and the ram returns to the home position. The limit switch is then tripped which energizes the two hand circuit again.
